Triad of Holistic Release Work

Taking “body work” to the next level. I address the entire picture, the whole process, and every piece that is involved.

Addressing Range of Motion

This stage typically takes 6-8 sessions (can vary based on many different factors)

This is the first and most important step. By finding the core cause, nurturing the root, I help can release and transform the body so that it can optimally function and glide as it was meant to. The foundations of our bodies lie in the myofascial system because it impacts every inch of our body from toes to skull.

Neuromuscular (Re-)Education / Motor Planning

Needs vary based on individual

Sometimes when our bodies ‘align’ from the core out, everything and all movement clicks into place. Other factors like neuro, ortho, genetic diagnoses may play a larger role and this step is where we help the ‘new body’ optimally learn to function in its new range of motion, and create those neuro pathways. Quality of movement matters.

Functional Movement & Progress Towards Goals

Needs vary on the individual

Whether it be postural stability, rolling, walking, tummy time, etc - if extra support is needed I can help achieve those goals. Pediatric physical therapy is all about play-based (happy, intrinsically motivated children) learning through movement and just the right amount of facilitation to help foster growth. I focus on your functional goals that are family/child-centered.

What is Fascia?

Fascia is the connective tissue that transmits information, including emotions, throughout our entire body. It is an integral part of the whole-body system. It should be fluid and glide. A restriction in one area, can cause difficulties in another part of the body. When we address the core, the total body can function optimally. This includes the vagus nerve, tongue, tension patterns, coordination, sensory regulation, digestion/feeding, etc. It takes more time to address the root of the fascia system, but the goal is to target authentic healing. As a physical therapist I can more easily analyze and feel tension based on movement patterns and find the core cause.
